STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

DOESN’T IGNITE

When an electric stove won’t ignite, be sure the stove is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light for gas appliances. If the stove power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is on in the oven, it means a different part will have to be repaired. The reason for the problem could be the surface element, infinite switch, oven burner igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN WON’T HEAT

A stove or burner or oven with no produce heat won’t do much good. An oven won’t heat if there’s a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. Your burner does not turn on if an element is broken or the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We can fix these common problems in under 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

You can assume the control panel on an oven is broken when the program or timer settings do not work. In this case, we can replace control panels on LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore, KitchenAid and several other brands of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on control boards and manufacturer parts we use for this oven repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You need a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it might be due to an issue with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance technicians are able to find the reason for the problem and then repair it. But be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of skin burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is times where an igniter glows but will not light. The reason this occurs is from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or sensor. We can determine whether we can repair these appliance parts or if we need to replace the part.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens can have door problems often. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door closure, seal and thermostat to figure out why the door doesn’t open and then complete the necessary repair so we can fix the problem.
